If you're on Section 8 housing, many of you know your apartment has to pass the Section 8 housing inspection, and if it fails and the landlord doesn't make the repairs, then Section 8 housing will reject the inspection, and you won't be able to apply the voucher to the apartment unit and move in. To avoid this just make sure you stay within the 6 month time frame, and you don't have any inspections nearing 90 days towards the 6 months. Doing this will allow you also enough time to find other apartments, and get within the 90 day inspections done. Example of this would be you waiting to last minute to decide to look for an apartment, and your Section 8 housing voucher expires December 31, 2022. You need to make enough room for failed inspections if they don't pass within your 6 month timeline, and avoid at all costs any inspections nearing the 90 days towards the expiration of the voucher. No one knows if the apartment unit will pass Section 8 housing inspection or not, so always keep this in mind.
