Apartment building levels can be;

• 1 Story
• 2 Story
• 3 Story
• 4 Story
• 5+ Story

knowing which level you want to live on is your personal preference, but always factor in the higher the level, the higher you have to walk. Knowing which apartment level you want to live on before you sign the lease, saves future headaches from if you realize for example after the lease is signed, "carrying up groceries or etc on the 3rd level every few days whether hot or cold weather takes place can be time consuming and exhausting". So always factor in will you be able to accept whether the weather is hot or cold, will you be able to carry things you need  during week, on your level of apartment if it's above 1 story with no issues?
